Every month, 1.8 billion people across the world menstruate. Millions of these girls, women, transgender men, and non-binary persons are unable to manage their menstrual cycle in a dignified, healthy way.
Yesterday at Tarkwa Jerusalem M/A girls, Golden tree foundation donates 150 pads to young girls to help them when they menstruate.
The CEO of Golden tree foundation, Madam Gloria Hasford said;
Menstrual Hygiene falls under our mandate thus the need to engage our young girls on this special day (International Menstrual Hygiene Day 2022) with the Girl Child Unit of GES on the theme: Normalizing Menstruation: Empowering Girls”.
“We chose Jerusalem J.H.S. because it has a higher teenage girl in the puberty bracket who needs to be empowered.” She added
